Easternwell keeps crews safe at airport check-in

It looks quite different when crews arrive to check in at Easternwell’s hangar to fly to their rig in the field. We are taking extra precautions during airport check-in and during flights to keep crews safe.

On arrival at the hangar in Toowoomba, each team member is required to check in with Easternwell’s Aviation team and Assist & Assure coaches by having their temperature taken, filling out a health declaration and maintaining social distancing.

Following their arrival testing and processing, each team member is escorted to a designated waiting area that has been designed to provide social distancing between passengers. During the boarding process, passengers are provided masks and glasses to wear during the flight and, as a final measure, they use hand sanitiser immediately prior to boarding. If someone has gone through the screening process and hasn’t yet felt any symptoms, this will ensure that they aren’t putting others at risk of infection.

Easternwell’s has an enhanced cleaning and disinfection program in place to ensure that aircrafts are as clean as possible prior to boarding at each location.

It is through these additional safety measures that we can transport our crews to the field to continue their work as essential services employees.
