Broadspectrum talks smart infrastructure at Smart Cities Week 2019

We continue to shape the conversation as a partner for the region’s premier smart cities event, Smart Cities Week (SCW) hosted by the Smart Cities Council.

Broadspectrum is working with Government at all levels, communities, industry partners, academia and technology providers to enhance the critical infrastructure and assets we already service to deliver more for citizens.

As part of this endeavour we have signed on as an industry partner for the region’s premier smart cities event, Smart Cities Week (SCW). Hosted by our association partner, Smart Cities Council, SCW is being held in Sydney between 30 October – 1 November 2019 and is the authoritative voice in driving adaption of smart principles in infrastructure projects.

Join us to hear from:

· Broadspectrum’s Chief Development Officer, Ian Maxted, taking part in a fireside chat with Infrastructure Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Romilly Madew AO, on ‘Building a Smart Infrastructure Nation’.

· Contract Manager, Kathryn Lindsay, presenting on one of the region’s first large scale street lighting contracts awarded by Dunedin City Council to Broadspectrum earlier in 2019.

· Development Director, Property and New Markets, Narelle Turner, facilitating a session of six case study presentations from Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Southern Grampians Shire Council, Broadspectrum, KPMG, SMEC and Appfusions.

As part of the global Smart Cities conversation, Broadspectrum is collaborating with the market ecosystem to bring the numerous benefits of more responsive and efficient cities of all sizes to clients and citizens, today. Broadspectrum believes a “Smart City” is about being a responsive city. This means assets and infrastructure are made smarter to respond to citizen needs and enhance human experiences.

Held each year, Smart Cities Week attracts more than 400 people from 22 countries. It is the region’s pre-eminent opportunity for government and industry to network, collaborate and listen to the challenges and innovations from the market.
