Broadspectrum Selects Indigenous Company for 2018 Flu Vaccine

Broadspectrum has selected Indigenous enterprise Integrity Health and Safety to deliver it 2018 Flu Immunisation Program across Australia.

Integrity First Aid has been providing First Aid Training to Broadspectrum and were looking to expand and diversify their relationship. For Broadspectrum, the opportunity to grow our engagement with a proven Indigenous supplier appeared a natural step. Integrity First Aid was invited to participate in a tender for vaccination services and delivered a compelling business case.

Partnering with Sonic HealthPlus, Integrity First Aid will deliver onsite immunisation services at Broadspectrum’s major sites or alternatively provide access to flu shots at one of Sonic Health’s clinics across Australia.

“Broadspectrum is committed to developing our relationships with Indigenous businesses,” says Kevin McCafferty, EGM Procurement, “this is an opportunity for Broadspectrum to affect meaningful and long-term benefits to an Indigenous enterprise and strongly displays value for money through Indigenous procurement.”

Integrity Health & Safety also gives back to the community via its Social Impact Commitment by providing, at its own cost, free First Aid and CPR courses to members of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) whose primary function is to implement strategies to increase the recruitment and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into nursing and midwifery professions.

Liam Harte, CEO of Integrity First Aid noted, “Training Aboriginal health workers makes sense because we are already working with Aboriginal children living in remote locations and are trusted by the communities.”
