Broadspectrum appoints new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Broadspectrum’s Board of Directors has appointed Tom Quinn as the Company's new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2018. Tom was most recently Chief Executive, Resources in the Broadspectrum business.

Broadspectrum Chairman, Paul McClintock said: “Tom Quinn’s appointment recognises his success leading the Resources sector in the Broadspectrum business for the past two years, and more than 30 years’ experience in senior roles globally.”

“Under Tom’s leadership, we have won and extended work with key clients including Inpex, Shell’s QGC business, BHP, and Santos. His drive to build strong customer relationships for our business will be key to our ongoing success.

Nick Miller resigned from the company in October.

Tom Quinn – professional experience

Prior to joining Broadspectrum, Tom Quinn was Group Vice President of Jacob’s North American Upstream and Midstream business in Canada, managing 7,000 employees.

His senior leadership experience includes Managing Director, Aker Solutions in Australia, and Director of Operations, Fluor Corporation.

Tom’s depth of experience globally includes working in engineering, construction and maintenance enterprises across the manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, food, and chemical industries. His expertise includes leading enterprises underpinned by sustainable and strategic decision-making, acute tactical planning and implementation, while influencing brand marketing and building strong customer relationships.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), a Master of Business Administration, is an Associate of the Melbourne Business School, and from 2010 to 2013 he was recognised as one of the top 100 engineers in Australia by Engineers Australia.
