Broadspectrum is engaged in a 10-year partnership with CareerTrackers to support young Indigenous students during their university degree through the CareerTrackers’ Corporate 10x10 program.
As part of the program, Broadspectrum will fund the placement of 10 Indigenous interns in the business every year throughout the next 10 years.
Broadspectrum’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Fidel Lopez, said: “We have supported very strong intern candidates from the CareerTrackers’ program in the past who have made a valuable contribution to our organisation in the areas of corporate and transport.”
“Through this exciting program, we will welcome a minimum of 100 additional Indigenous interns over the next 10 years, which will be a great boost to our organisation as we expand our team with enthusiastic university graduates.”
CareerTrackers supports pre-professional Indigenous university students by linking them with organisations like Broadspectrum to participate in paid multi-year internships.
Broadspectrum has worked with CareerTrackers since 2011.
This initiative was identified in Broadspectrum’s third Reconciliation Action Plan and the company’s commitment to establish a formal Indigenous internship program.
