Transfield Services secures US$160 million in US contracts
Transfield Services today announced it has secured US$160 million in contracts across its Americas business in the resources and energy, transport infrastructure and property and facilities management industries.
The Company has secured a new seven-year contract with the Florida Department of Transportation’s District Two for US$38 million to maintain 956 lane miles of interstates in the Jacksonville area, scheduled to commence in July 2011. Services will include routine maintenance activities associated with roadway, drainage, roadside, vegetation and aesthetics, traffic services, and incident management.
Transfield Services has also renewed five contracts, including:
a three-year contract with Valero San Antonio for US$66 million to provide maintenance and outage services and perform small capital works projects
a US$39 million contract with Dow Chemical Pittsburgh to provide maintenance and outage services and perform small capital works projects for three years, and
several property and facilities management contracts with clients including Bank of America, Target and Sears, Kmart.
“These contracts prove our ability to grow our work with existing blue chip clients through delivering efficiency and productivity improvements to our clients’ assets,” said Managing Director and CEO, Peter Goode.
