Transfield Services reorganises Australia and New Zealand business

Transfield Services has announced the formation of two businesses within its Australia and New Zealand business – Resources and Energy and Infrastructure. Following the recent acquisition of Easternwell, the Company’s Australia and New Zealand portfolio of operations is now larger, more diverse and geographically widespread. These two businesses will each be headed by a Chief Executive based in North Sydney, both reporting to Managing Director and CEO, Peter Goode.

Effective immediately, Bruce James will become Chief Executive Resources and Energy and Nicholas Yates becomes the Chief Executive of Infrastructure.

“Bruce is well known and respected by our clients and I’d like to thank him for his hard work as Chief Executive Australia and New Zealand. This role will allow him to continue to utilise the strong relationships and many years of experience he has gained to manage and grow this portfolio that is central to our strategy,” said Mr Goode.

“Nicholas has already made a valuable contribution running the Australia and New Zealand Infrastructure portfolio, which forms a significant part of the Australia and New Zealand business.”

The current Engineering and Construction group as well as the Services business will form part of the Infrastructure group.

Mr Goode said this structure had been chosen to enable future growth. Transfield Services now has the capacity to grow organically, and through selective mergers or acquisitions, and the balance sheet strength to support this strategy.

These changes will facilitate increased customer focus and market awareness, positioning the organisation well for future growth.
