The Pop-Up Tradie Shop is back with a bang

The 'Pop-Up Tradie Shops' are back bigger and stronger, following on from the overwhelming success of our tenant engagement initiative last year.

Our NSW Housing contract has continued its partnership with NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) and NSW Family and Community Services (FACS) to provide tenants with this unique maintenance opportunity offering on-the-spot repairs for minor responsive works such as plumbing, carpentry and electrical servicing.

The Pop-Up schedule commenced in March with the first event in Miller, Western Sydney, and a mega-event in Cranebrook.

The event at Cranebrook was attended by hundreds of tenants who raised 552 work orders on the day, with 35 of them resolved that week. It was also attended by the Minister for Family and Community Services, Social Housing, Pru Goward; and the local Newcastle MP, Tim Crakanthorp, who were followed by local media generating positive coverage.

Our Executive General Manager, Facilities Management and Health, Tim Ryerson commented: "The innovative event allows our team to put a friendly and helpful face to the company's name, and assures tenants that their requests and enquiries are heard and actioned, as well as building great relationships with the community, our client and wider stakeholders."
